Acupuncture For Quiting Smoking

Acupuncture therapy restores the balance of the body by correcting the imbalance between sympathetic and parasympathetic system that happens in smokers.

The stimulations from the acupuncture application sites send the the necessary codings to the brain, in this way the body and mind collaborate to treat the diseases.

Lets think the body is a perfect computer: this non-smoking program gets written in the memory. Therefore, at the end of the treatment, the person either does not want to smoke or starts to get bothered by smoke. This therapy also shifts the electrical and chemical equilibrium in the body and brain towards normal values. The gas exchange in the red blood cell membrane changes in favor of oxygen, this means that the cell receives more oxygen. Body functions rapidly return to normal, meanwhile a negative reaction against smoking (loss of desire to smoke, disgust from smoke, etc.) develops in the body and mind.

Acupuncture treatment is a very effective solution in the treatment of smoke addiction, however, in order for this treatment to be successful and permanent, some conditions are necessary.

Firstly, the addicted person must become aware that this addiction will cause him/her health problems and his/her decision to stop smoking should be on free will.

Secondly, the longer the patient is away from smoking before treatment, the better the success rate. The minimum duration is 12 hours. This will cause some withdrawal symptoms such as tremors, sweating, restlessness etc. We observe these and use them as a guide to review our treatment plan.

As a result, we are here for people who are aware of the dangers of smoking, experiencing the damage in their own bodies and need help to quit smoking. We are happy to say that they are not alone: as long as they are determined and committed to the conditions that we explained above, with only 2-3 sessions they have the chance to get rid of smoking.

Cheers!
